Could I ask a few questions?
- What is the purpose of the diode and capacitor linking the potential dividers back to VSS?
- What is the purpose of R14 pulling the DCC inputs up to VDD? To stop glitching during DCC transitions or dirty track?
- Why do very few published decoder designs omit optocouplers for the DCC logic inputs? What allows you to get away without them? Presumably the newer nano sized commercial decoders also omit them?
